The War

i just got done watching the president answer questions from newsgroups. there has been a new poll from american citizens stating that the majority of us want the troops to pull out.

this boggles my mind. first, americans wanted bush to bomb the hell out of the middle east. NOW americans are pissed off at bush. i dont know enough about this war to really be for or against it. i am only saying these few things:

the american troops in iraq CHOSE to enrole themselves and basicaly sign their own lives over to the president of the us. why should we feel sorry for them? they were the ones who wanted to fight in the first place. and to those who state that they only joined the army reserves so that they could get a free education and they didnt really WANT to get in to a war ever: THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR ABUSING THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT. i want a free education too! but when i truly think about it, i feel good about working my ass off, taking out the loans, filling out the BULLSHIT paperwork EVERY YEAR, and wondering when the hell i will finally be done with it all.

if americans want to live in a safe place, and have a little bit of population control, we have to do some work WITHIN other countries to TEACH THEM how to properly govern themselves and maintain a sort of peace. you CANT do this overnight, in a few months or a year. it seems that the people in iraq have suffered in a violent, dictorian government for CENTURIES. its all they know so far.

if we want to keep our population under control (immagrants, etc) we must help to change the way people live their lives in countries such as iraq. why do you think people immigrate to the US?!?! because the country they just HAPPEN to be born in to is a SHITHOLE!!! if you were born in most areas of africa, mexico, russia, iraq or some other crappy countries like that, wouldnt YOU want to come to america too?! not ALL people in iraq are terrorist bastards like the ones who smashed the planes in to the twin towers. im sure many of those citizens over there are just like americans: HUMAN. MANY PEOPLE want peace and justice like the rest of us who HAPPEN to be born in america.

also, i have come to beleive that civilization, cleanliness and intelligence originates from MONEY. not from some kind of "god-given", special or chosen power. if america didnt have so much money, we would be drinking sewer water, dying of STDs and going out of our minds. just like many people in areas of Africa and other countries.

if we leave now, everything we have just STARTED in iraq will unravell and we will be back to sqaure 1 with more terrorist attacks in the us.

remember, americans are nothing special. we are just lucky to have been born here. think about it and get off your high horse.

thank you for reading my ramblings

YAY!!!!

i just ordered a BUNCH of supplies for my studio!! i got some extra money out of my taxes (i paid half of the LP to heat our house this winter and that took up 350 dollars!!!) so i talked to john and he said it would be cool if i spent money on myself (bc i still need to give him money to fix up my car!!). he was all, "you just let ME worry about your car. go ahead and order your paint stuff". what an AWESOME guy!!! we dont share money, i just give him what i can for bills and whatnot and he doesnt mind. he knows i dont take advantage of him and i dont spend my money on worthless shit like cloths and whatever.

this is how i think a relationship should work. your money is yours, mine is mine. and he make WAY more money than me, and he understands that. so when im tight, he helps me out. in return, i be sure to be a good "housewife" for him and do his laundry, cook his meals, run his errands, etc. its just like an exchange of services, really. we support eachother.

i think ONE OF the main reasons why marraiges fail and get in to big trouble is because there is a lack of understanding in the way the relationship is best handled. when people get married, they automatically assume they must share a bank account. BIG mistake!! men and women usually have a hard time agreeing on what is appropriate to spend a lot of money on and so there is scwabling about, "you spent this much on WHAT?!".

women are ALWAYS going to make less money than men. its just a fact of life. both men and women just need to accept that and work with it. we do. and it works for us.

STILL happy!

how wonderful that after two years of being with a man, he still treats you the same way he did when he met you! i STILL wake up EVERY morning to roll over and get kisses and cuddles from the man who is the closest thing i know to be the perfect man that every woman dreams of. oh, i know hes not "perfect". nobody is. weve had our fights, ups and downs. ive seen his ugliest side and he is still beautiful to me. he even treats me with kindness when im being a stupid whiney girl!! everything he does is gentle and kind. no matter WHAT, i get big hugs and kisses every day when we meet at the end of the day. he appreciates and supports my new found love for oil painting (which is the ONLY time my mind can focus on ONE thing). ive got the upstairs spare room as my studio now! never thought id be so consistantly happy and well taken care of in a relationship. shows what I KNOW!
